The Microchips we use are just a touch larger than a grain of rice. They are quick and simple to place and give a lifetimes worth of peace of mind.

Unfortunately pets go missing, it a fact of life. Dogs might see a squirrel and run after it eventually getting lost and cats seem to find themselves miles away from their very happy home for no reason we can think of.

When your pet gets lost, it is heartbreaking for the whole family! Microchipping your pet will greatly improve your chance of having your pet returned to you.

We recommend microchipping as an easy and effective way of ascertaining your pet’s identity if it gets lost. It is a simple procedure which causes no ill effects on your pet.

All vets, rescue societies, the police and highway patrol men have microchip scanners. in the case that we come across a lost or stray animal, our first action is to scan between their shoulder blades. If the pet has been microchipped- dentification is instantaneous, and owners can often be informed that their pet has been found before they realise that it was lost.

A microchip is also required for the identification of all pets that may be undergoing the Pet Passport Scheme or export outwith the UK. Tattoos while allowed in some circumstances, are no longer favoured.

There is an annual microchipping discount month for the Month of June. At this time the cost of microchipping is half of the standard price. More details shall appear on the webpage nearer the time.

There is also a discount for microchipping if carried out to coincide with a general anaesthetic, such as for neutering.
