To continue our quest to enhance the health of pets and to bring peace of mind to their owners.

Pets‘n’Vets is a small friendly partnership of local vets with surgeries in Glasgow and East

Kilbride. Our original site was established exactly 40 years ago this year in Pollokshaws in the

Southside of Glasgow and since then our unique Pets‘n’Vets ethos and style of veterinary care

have infused three more surgeries – in Crookfur, Queen’s Park and most recently East Kilbride.

What exactly is the Pets‘n’Vets ethos and style of veterinary care? Partner Oliver Jackson explains:

“Pets‘n’Vets is an entirely locally owned business. All three partners grew up within walking distance of the Pollokshaws branch, we all gained experience as school students at the practice and we all studied at Glasgow University Veterinary School. Ivor, Ross and I understand our community, its needs, its sense of humour, and its pragmatic desire to have the proper care for its pets at a sensible cost. We share this no-nonsense approach and it forms the core of how we approach our business.

Although we all have experience throughout the United Kingdom, we have always found that clients from the areas we serve, around Glasgow and beyond, appreciate our desire to provide treatment that best fits their particular pets and we work in conjunction with owners to provide the best, most appropriate care. They also appreciate that at Pets‘n’Vets we are Vets, not salesmen. Our Vets do not and will not work to incentives or targets and we resist hard veterinary selling from suppliers – nor do we indulge in it ourselves. You will not find huge sales-stands in our waiting rooms: waiting rooms are for the owners and their pets. We have found that this makes the relationship between ourselves and our clients very clear; any medication, treatment, ointment, shampoo, tablet, food, remedy that is recommended by any one of the Pets‘n’Vets team is recommended specifically and only for the benefit of your particular pet.

We are incredibly proud and protective of our excellent reputation so we continually invest in equipment and training for our staff. Our very talented vets and nurses keep their skills right up to date allowing us to undertake, where appropriate, some of the most complex veterinary procedures. We find that by keeping things local and wherever possible in-house we can keep the costs for our clients as low as possible.”
